The Tribe Behind Nomad Roots
We are an all-female collective: a founder navigating global paths, a new mother seeking inner order, a lifelong friend celebrating beauty, and a single mother guarding our roots with her calloused hands.
From the remote mountains of Guizhou to the pace of modern life, we translate 999 fine silver and ancient myths into spiritual anchors. We don't just craft jewelry; we build a sanctuary for every "ordinary" woman who seeks the extraordinary.
Our Story
For the past few years since graduation, I have lived like a nomad who lost her compass.
During my years of deep-diving into life abroad, I existed in a subtle state of "weightlessness." I was caught between an accelerating world I had to integrate into and a mother culture I couldn't let go of. I felt suspended in the gap between homesickness and wandering—a missing puzzle piece that kept my compass from ever finding its true North.
I once thought this "rootlessness" was my trauma, until I met them, and until I met Intangible Heritage.
I am so proud that we are an all-female team. 👩👩👧👧
In this small community, we—a group of girls with vastly different personalities—have become each other’s coordinates. Although spiritual "wandering" still brings intermittent bouts of sadness, I feel an unprecedented sense of certainty during those late nights in the studio, sitting together and discussing our creations.

Our journey didn't start in an office; it started in a shared middle school dorm room, whispering about our futures under the blankets.
Life eventually took us to different universities in different cities, but our 'compasses' always pointed back to the same thing: a deep love for things that are both beautiful and meaningful. As women, we’ve both felt the weight of societal expectations and the quiet pressure of our responsibilities. We’ve navigated the different seasons of our lives, but we never lost our shared hunger for a life that feels authentic.
I chose to co-found Nomad Roots because I believe beauty shouldn't be a luxury reserved for the few; it should be a ritual for every 'ordinary' woman who dreams of something more.
In our all-female team, I see the strength of our bond reflected in the Miao silver we curate—ancient, resilient, and intricately connected. Every piece we share is a tribute to the girls we were and the women we are becoming. We are here to celebrate you—the dreamers, the wanderers, and the 'ordinary' women who are, in fact, extraordinary.
We don't just build a brand; we build a sanctuary for our shared aesthetics. Roots in motion, but always together."

I grew up in the highlands of Qinghai, a place where the air is thin but the connection to the land is thick. In my hometown, jewelry was never about fashion. It was a silent language of the tribe—stones and silver carried stories of protection, heritage, and a deep respect for nature. These are my 'roots.'
Today, my life looks quite different. I am in Australia, spending most of my days in the library pursuing a PhD in Marketing. It is a world of data, logic, and modern strategy. But even here, I find myself reaching for the textures of home. I realized that no matter how far we travel or how much we learn, we all have a basic human need to feel 'grounded.'
As the Marketing Director for Nomad Roots in Australia, I don't see my job as 'selling' products. I see it as sharing a piece of the stillness I learned on the plateau. I want to help other women find their own small anchors in this busy, modern world.
I am a student of the future, but a child of the mountains. At Nomad Roots, I get to be both.

They say becoming a mother changes your world, but for me, it redefined my 'gravity.'
As a new mother and a co-founder of Nomad Roots, I spent my days (and many sleepless nights) navigating a beautiful but overwhelming chaos. In the middle of diapers and lullabies, I found myself reaching for the crystals and the ancient silver pieces we were developing. I realized that, like a newborn, these ancient crafts are fragile yet incredibly resilient—they carry the heartbeat of generations.
Working in this all-female team, I found a sanctuary. We don’t just talk about 'business'; we talk about the energy required to nurture—whether it’s nurturing a child, a dream, or a heritage that's nearly forgotten.
To me, Nomad Roots is my second child. It is my way of ensuring that the world my child grows up in still has 'soul.' When I look at the Five Elements system we’ve built, I don't see abstract philosophy; I see the balance I strive for every day: the 'Water' to be patient, the 'Earth' to be stable, and the 'Fire' to keep my passion alive.
I want my child to know that her mother didn’t just 'work'—she helped build a bridge between the ancient mountains and the modern future. We are crafting anchors for every nomad out there, including the little one sleeping in my arms."
— Co-founder & New Mother, Nomad Roots Marketing Team
When my daughter told me she wanted to start Nomad Roots, I didn't quite understand what a 'Modern Nomad' was. But when I saw the silver pieces from Guizhou and the crystals shaped by time, I understood—she was looking for her own ground to stand on.
As a single mother, my life has been about being the 'root' for my daughter, standing firm through every storm so she could grow. Now, I sit here in our workshop, personally wrapping each piece before it crosses the ocean. My hands, which once held her small fingers to guide her first steps, now guide these 'spiritual anchors' into their boxes.
I know that for someone out there, this isn't just jewelry—it’s a connection to the earth, to the mountains, and to the strength of a woman who never gave up. I may not travel as far as these packages do, but my spirit travels with them. To every woman wearing our pieces: May you feel grounded, may you feel protected, and may you find the strength within yourself to be your own anchor.
These hands are the last thing the jewelry touches before they reach yours. Wear them with the strength of a “mother’s love".
